Communication Arts Magazine: Heirloom Edition
UX Design | Graphic Design | Branding
I designed magazine spreads paying homage to Armin Hofmann using the Swiss Art Style. Communication Arts is the largest international trade journal of visual communications. Founded in 1959 by Richard Coyne and Robert Blanchard, the magazine's coverage includes graphic design, advertising, photography, illustration, and interactive media.
Client: Communication Arts Magazine
Note: Hypothetical, for class. Collaborative work with Angelique Francis, Sam Stein, and Wai Yan Cheung
These pages are heavily inspired and homage to Armin Hofmann, an influential designer during the International Style. The pages feature interesting geometric shapes, san serif fonts, and economical use of color that are consistent with Armin Hofmann's design style. In addition, the editorial piece was also written by me. These spreads are part of a large magazine featuring more artists from the International Style.
